THE ORIGINS!
Cascina Ebreo is a company founded in 1992 by Peter Weimer , a computer programmer with a passion for wine who decided to change his life and create a winery.
Despite his inexperience, he had the dream of producing wines without rules and standardizations for the market.
Cascina Ebreo wines were artisanal and responsible, often imperfect, but with a unique style.
In 2015, the management changed to a group of young winemakers.
After meeting Peter they married his project and decided to carry it forward so that a unique philosophy would not be lost.
Cascina Ebreo becomes an experimental winemaking “laboratory” where we try to create a wine without the constraints imposed by regulations and without the use of chemical products.
THE VINEYARDS!
We grow in the heart
of the MGA Ravera , a hill that offers
one of the most elegant and long-lived wines
of the whole area.
Three hectares cultivated with Nebbiolo , Barbera , Dolcetto , Sauvignon Blanc and Malvasia Moscata Piemontese .
The soil on which they grow is the famous “ Marne di Sant'Agata laminated ” with a good proportion of silt and clay which, together with the breeze from the Maritime Alps, contributes to expressing flavour on the palate, good freshness and great complexity.
THE PHILOSOPHY!
Personality , passion and desire to experiment to create unique and unmistakable wines.
Our philosophy involves the least possible intervention and includes:
Holistic approach in the vineyard
Exclusive use of indigenous yeasts
No addition of sulfur dioxide in winemaking
No use of chemicals
Low intervention in winemaking
